An avid music collector and DJ, Flavour Specialist has been playing records for over 17 years. “I feel privileged to have been apart of the underground movement from its afterhours beginnings. Flavour loves to bring tunes that tell a story and give a message of positivity. ” I believe music is such a powerful tool and love to watch it influence someone and put them in a better place!” Holding several residency DJ positions in NC and playing all over the South East, The Flavour Specialist was brought up on house music. “I love the art of the mix and creating a soundscape to lose yourself in.”

Flavour Specialist, a self appointed “party chief,”  is always properly armed when it comes to laying down grooves that move the soul and the feet.” I am stoked to have the opportunity to reach out to new listeners and turn people onto proper house music.”
A vinyl purist, Flavour only started using an interface about 2 years ago. He uses the combination of the two when playing. “I am convicted to stick with DJing in it’s pure form. I love the ability to touch the medium I am working with. I embrace technology but have a true passion for where this whole movement came from.” DJ’s like Greg Wilson, Doc Martin, Dante, Hipp-e, Hardkiss and Mark E.Quark  and producers like Metro Area, Todd Terje, Avanti, and Psychemagik are big influences on his style of house. In a world of racing BPM’s The Flavour Specialist prefers to make his sound stand out by embracing a slower pace that ALWAYS commands movement!”
